New Paediatric & Family Health Clinic Opens

New Paediatric & Family Health Clinic

Integra Healthcare Ltd opened it’s first clinic in Cayman in March 2019, bringing some of the islands most well-known physicians under one roof in a practice that the owners hope will “raise the bar for healthcare providers in Cayman”.

The practice offers newborn and paediatric services, alongside family medicine, covering the whole family out of its brand new facility in Grand Pavilion on West Bay Road.

Dr Watkin, lead paediatrician and owner says about the clinic “we wanted to create a clinic that was state of the art in terms of facilities but more importantly brought modern, western medical practise and first class customer service together too”.

“To us, that meant designing a clinic fit for today, including online appointment booking and a patient portal to allow people to self-manage their arrangements when convenient, as well as efficient customer service and claims. I personally hate getting phone calls six months or more after I visited a service, asking for money because an insurance company has said part of a claim isn’t covered. A good service would be addressing those things really swiftly.”

Dr Martinez, GP and co-owner adds other aspirations too “We want to be known as a practice that looks after its patients at both a healthcare and an insurance or financial level. For instance, we want to make sure that when we order tests and thus generate an additional insurance claim, the tests we order are the necessary ones, not just tick off a huge list that costs the patients, insurers and thus everybody more money than is necessary”.

The new practice is located out of Grand Pavilion on West Bay Road and the facilities were built out from a clean shell, ensuring they are fresh, modern and inviting. As part of the practice’s commitment to customer care, there’s also a free refreshment station and a well-stocked children’s play area.

Dr Watkin’s final word on that was “when we see children wanting to actually stay behind and play, whilst Mum or Dad relaxes over a well-earned coffee then we know we are heading in the right direction”.
